This place was recommended to me by a friend. As far as fast-food Chinese places go, this one is tops! I enjoyed the szechuan beef. The meat was tender and flavorful and the veggies tasted fresh. It only cost me $3.97, and no I don't have some deal worked out with one of the waiters. It's really that cheap! However, I have to demerit this establishment 1 star 'cause it looks kinda dirty, it's definitely shads-ville. But I will definitely be returning here again!

A coworker recommended I go here. I ordered an egg roll and shrimp fried rice. I didn't like the shrimp fried rice because I am not use to batter on my shrimp in this dish, and the rice was overcooked. However, the egg rolls are to die for if cooked extra crispy. The young counter lady was really efficient as well.

Taiwan is a true gem! It's across the street from the always delicious Dot Wo Chinese Restaurant. But if you don't want to pay more than $5, then head to Taiwan. I love the Szechuan Shrimp. They can change up everything you order, from all different kinds of veggies, which are fresh. There's a drive through, which can get long at night. My parents love this whenever they are too lazy to cook. This is my first review and of course I guessed not many people know about Taiwan. Go try it!

This place is hands down my family's most favorite place to get rice! We've been going to this place for about 5 years now. We will not get rice anywhere else. I've moved to Edmond and can't find a decent or similar place to this one. Nothing comes close. They have great prices other than these "high rated" other places that have pretty high prices for a very small amount of food. They give a pretty fair amount whwn you gwt it to go. If you're looking for great rice, this is the place to be!! Taste, quality, and quantity gets 5 stars, without a doubt, from me.

First Timer Tried to call in our order. No answer. Went to Taiwan. Tables inside were full. People in line to order. 4 cars deep. Stayed in car and waited our turn to order. What we wanted: House fried rice, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Beef Chow Mien and Hot & Sour soup. When the lady came to take our order, she was and.looked overwhelmed. No on the Egg Foo Young because it takes 20 minutes and we too busy, she says. When we asked for beef Chow Mien she said no. She said Lo Mien is better Chow Mien. *House Fried Rice- beef, chicken and shrimp. It was good and plentiful. *Beef Lo Mien w/broccoli - was also good. *Chicken Fried Rice- taste was good. *Hot & Sour soup- surprisingly tasty. All four items $20.35

Not the place to call on the weekends when you aren't in the mood to have dinner delivered. Tried to call them to order delivery. No answer. Called again. No answer. Five or six attempts later a muffled voice picks up. I had to ask three times if I'd reached Taiwan Chinese Food because they didn't answer the phone like most businesses do. Asked if they delivered (since the only information I had available was what was on Yelp) -- nope. For the record, they don't deliver. I'll go ahead and save anyone else the trouble of trying to call to find out since they don't answer their phones anyway. Also they're cash-only. Hello and welcome to the 21st century where anyone with a smartphone can accept credit card payments.

Great fast food Chinese drive through in NW Okc! I love the egg rolls and the sweet and sour chicken. I didn't like the sesame chicken or the generals chicken. They are fast and the drive through is convenient.

Delicious food but sometimes it's a little to greasy. My favorites are the orange chicken, chicken fried rice, and crab rangoon.

Good Deal - True Dive I've been to Taiwan (the restaurant, not the country) probably over two dozen times, as I used to work nearby. The place is a good deal - super cheap, fresh, fairly tasty Chinese food. Likes: The meals are literally like $4-6 tops, and you probably won't finish because there's so much to eat! It's a hell of a deal for that much decent food. That by itself is enough for me to jack up the rating on this place, but it is limited in other areas. The place is always full, which is a small testament to its value. They get your food out fairly quickly, and it's decent stuff. They also do takeout, which is nice for those limited lunch breaks. This is a great place to grab a good, cheap bite on a limited time frame. Dislikes: You'll really have to be a dive lover because the place is slightly nasty inside, though not terrible. The food is also not top notch stuff either, & it's a bit greasy, but it's okay overall. Also, it's not a place to take a group, since they can only seat about 15-20 people, tops. Don't forget to bring CASH because they don't take anything else. Last word of warning - stay away from the often stale fortune cookies! Overall, a good value, but not a place you should take a date or your parents.

My husband loves this place. I ate there for years before becoming violently ill after eating my usual broccoli-shrimp (steamed rice, no eggroll). Haven't been back since :( the young lady / daughter has the best customer service. She even started recognizing our car when we would come to pick up a call-in.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
